4th of July Parade in the Neighborhood

We had our 2nd annual neighborhood parade and picnic on July 4th.  Last year it was at someone's house, this year, no one was coming forward to host, so my neighbor and I decided to take it on, with minimal responsibilities! :)  We started at the park, rode down the street and had a pot luck at the park afterward.  It was super super hot (like 105) and it only lasted 1.5 hours, which is about 45 minutes longer than I thought it would last.  The kids were just dying out there.  It was a lot of fun, though and the kids got to show off their decorated bikes/motorized vehicles and the adults got to congregate.
