Cry Babies

I was trying to take a picture of Chase and Owen for a new frame I got. Here are the results in sequence. :) Which would you choose? Chase (on the right) gets so mad he starts gagging and coughing-that's what you'll see in the last shot.

The Bjorks Vist

My great friend Lindzy and her family visited on their way home to Richmond, VA. Lindzy and I were college friends, went to grad school together and hung out constantly when moving to Mpls. Now she and her family live in VA so we don't see each other as often as we'd like. She had her second baby, Addyson, 6 weeks after Chase and Owen. We were finally able to meet each other's babies. Her daughter Ela entertained us all with her charm and energy. We had a great time visiting and enjoying the company. Chase thought Ela was very funny and she got some good laughs out of him.

More Christmas Fun!

We think we have just the cutest little guys around. We feel so blessed this Christmas season. I was so choked up thinking about our blessings from God I couldn't even talk. What a great year!

We celebrated with the Bergers. Christmas Eve was at our house. Jim, Sandy, Pat, Lindsay and cousin Sophia came over. We went to church during the day and then the kids opened gifts. It was a lot of fun and they liked pulling on the paper. They soon got cranky and went to bed. The adults ate dinner and then opened gifts. It was a great time. Christmas day we had brunch and then headed to Pat and Lindsay's for dinner. Sandy prepared all the great meals! It was fun to celebrate Christmas with the Bergers as we haven't done that before. It was quite a Christmas for the new babes who had not had a Christmas before. Sophia, Chase and Owen are so special to all of us.

Colds at the Bergers

We've entered into our first colds here at the Bergers. As you can see it's not going too well. Poor Chasey had snot running down his face today (and the past 14 days). They both have runny noses, coughs and just don't feel good. After getting coughed at and snot on our faces we now have the cold too. I just hope they get rid of it soon. It's no fun to see your babies sick. Plus, it's really really hard caring for two sick infants who want to be held. The other night I had one in the Bjorn, was carrying one and was stiring dinner with the other hand. It's amazing what you can do when you have to.

We are 6 Months Old!

The boys are 24 weeks old today-6 months! We are so excited and they are too (ha ha). We went to the mall today to walk with our friends Shannon and Abby. It was freezing out but I bundled them up with their puppy hats and fleece sacks. They were so sweaty by the time we got home.

It's been a great 6 months-the boys have grown so much and have just given us so much joy with their smiles, laughs and hugs. We feel so fortunate this time of year (all the year really) to have two wonderful babies. Life couldn't get much better. Chase and Owen are 3 weeks old in these pictures. Owen is the first baby, Chase is the second.

Big Poo Poo

So I'm out shopping and I get a text message from Jeff saying, "You'll never believe what I've just been through!" I knew it had to be something relating to poo. So I call him back and he begins to tell me the story.

We had been out and Chase was in his car seat. Jeff knew when he took him out that he has filled his diaper because he smelled and he could feel something wet on his tummy. Jeff just thought it was pee. He begins to take his outfit off and realizes the poop is down Chase's legs. Oh no, he thinks, this is going to get messy. So Jeff, being the prepared man he is (and a little dramatic for those who don't know him well) takes his shirt off to be prepared. (At this point I'm laughing pretty hard.) Jeff continues to take off Chase's shirt and onesie, only to discover the poo is up to his neck and on his stomach and even on his arms!!! WHAT?!! I said. YES, Jeff said. He then proceeds to tell me he used the whole box of wipes, (there are 166 in a box and yes, my husband also exaggerates). He runs upstairs to get our little bath tub and comes back down, only to see Chase rolling around in the poo, which is all over the blanket. Owen is just watching innocently. He finally gets Chase in the bath, rinses out the clothes and the fiasco is over. I get home and yes, there is poo everywhere. We threw away the onesie-it didn't really fit anymore. And then I notice one of the most funny parts of the story-Chase's sleeper is on backwards! Yes, backwards. I know this because I can see the tag and the snaps that are supposed to be at the back are in the front-his little feet are pointed backwards and the elbow pads that are supposed to be on the back are on the front of the elbows. I just laughed and laughed and so did Jeff. It's a riot!

Pressure

My dad called today and said how much he enjoyed the blog and the last several pictures. He said he looked forward to reading it tonight and that I should keep up the good work! Talk about pressure to post and write! :) These are for you dad.
