4th of July on the Lake

The 4th of July was packed full of fun!  After our parade we headed to Lake Waconia to be with our family on the lake.  The kids got to see their cousins and had a great time.  Again, it was so hot and the boys did not want to go outside again.  Luckily on the boat it was pleasant and once we got in the water everyone had a great time.

This was just adorable . . . all the grandkids were surrounding Sandy and I'm not sure what she was talking about, but they were all smiling and laughing and having a good time.  Chase is tucked in tight and loving it.

After cooling off a bit and having a great dinner, we went outside to throw some snaps.  The kids had fun!

The Berger Family

Doesn't everyone love a sparkler?!!  Don't you remember those from your childhood?  It's just not the 4th without them.  Chase and his sparkler.  He ended up getting a burn on his thumb later, despite our constant warnings.

We decided to head down to the boat for the fireworks.  It was super buggy and hot, again, but fun.  The kids were excited to see the fireworks, which they didn't remember from last year.  Lots of people were setting them off around the area so they got to see some pre-fireworks.
