Swimming

Swimming lessons were amazing this year! We did them in the afternoon, which was hard with Hattie napping, but she was a trooper.  I was nervous because Owen tends to be fearful of lessons.  This year he broke down for about 5 minutes and then said, “Ok, I’m going to try my best.” And that was the end of the whining. And boy did he do awesome!  They can both float front and back, do the front crawl and are working on the back crawl. They can almost almost go off the board by themselves, they just need a little more confident to do it. I was so proud of them.  Every day we stayed for 30-60 minutes after and they had fun playing in the pool by themselves, or with Hattie and I.  Hattie enjoyed looking at trees, following bugs and trying to get into the pool by herself.
