Chase and Owen really love their sister. They have done some really cute things.
These pictures were all taken 7-15-13
One day I was showering and Chase and Owen were "watching" Hattie. They didn't know I had the video monitor on, too. I saw them both at the side of the pack n play staring at her, and then Chase took off. Suddenly he appeared upstairs in the bathroom and said Hattie was really mad. I showed him the video and we watched Owen. Owen was so funny I giggle just thinking about it. He had facial expressions I have never seen him make-ones of distress. He kept looking in the direction that we should be coming in to save the day and then he would look quickly back at Hattie. At one point he covered his ears/cheeks in despair and then started saying, "It's ok, it's ok", over and over. It was just funny and Chase and I were cracking up. Hattie was totally fine, but any sort of noise to them is extreme drama.
Chase
and Owen were watching Hattie on her changing table while I got
dressed. Chase would run in every now and then to give me a
report. "Hattie really mad", "Hattie really really Mad." Owen stayed
with her. When I was ready I walked into her room to see chase coming
up the stairs with a changing table pad that he had found
downstairs. He said, "It's really big!" I wondered what he was going and
he went and wiped away some spit up she had. It was so sweet that he
knew what to do and took care of his sister.
I've heard them tell
her, "Shhh, it's ok," and "Hattie, Hattie Hattie." They love to see her
awake. Owen always have to give her a kiss. He was the least
interested with my pregnancy and is the most interested in Hattie.
Jeff
likes to ask the boys how she's doing when we are in the car. Owen
always said, "She's doing really well." I love it that he says well and
not good!
They like to show her toys and shake them. They both held the bottle for a little bit, but didn't want to hold her.
