Behind

I've been a bit behind in my blogging lately.  I've been a bit under the weather and haven't really felt like being on the computer at night. Here are a few tidbits of what's been going on at our house.

I got a new soap dispenser from Target. It's the automatic kind. The boys have to put their hands in front and soap comes out. They think it's really really fun so they do it like 5 times and then there is soap all over. I suppose that's going to happen at the beginning. Hopefully they will get sick of the novelty soon. They are so good at washing their hands all by themselves, especially Owen.  He tends to like to be clean.  We are working on him using a napkin rather than his arm to wipe his mouth.  I appreciate the fact he wants his mouth cleaned off, though.

We still work with the boys on going to the bathroom by themselves. Typically they announce they have to go by screaming it and then we say, "Go to the bathroom." The other day I saw Chase get up, go into the bathroom and shut the door.  He did this without saying a peep.  He did it all by himself!  Yesterday I tried to help him up onto the toilet. He didn't want help so he got off and did it by himself.  He's becoming very independent.
Last night Chase and then Owen helped me do the dishes. Chase pulled up his little chair and stood on it. I handed him the dishes and he rinsed them and then handed them to me and I put in dishwasher. He did them all! Then Owen wanted to help so he helped with the pots and pans and did just as good! How nice!
