O Christmas Tree

We decorated our Christmas tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  It was fun for all of us.  I got out the soft, unbreakable ornaments and the boys went at it.  They had fun hanging them on the tree.  Of course they were all in the same spot on the tree.  They boys have several ornaments that are the same.  It was interesting to watch them hang them up.  They felt ornaments that were the same should be hung by each other.  :)  I tried to space them out a little because it looked weird to have them side by side.  Owen caught me moving them and insisted on putting the ornaments back the way he had them, side by side, or in one instance on the same branch.  Very cute and very funny.  I got out some of my prized ornaments (breakable of course) and those seemed to be of great interest.  I have a big glass ball from a visit to Washington D.C.  That made a few laps around the house dangling from a little hand before I had to take it away.  They sure love to ornaments that look breakable.  They want to touch them, reach for them and almost knock the tree over.  Several small glass balls were broken due to believing they could bounce like regular balls.  :)  Once the decorating was done they were interested in the tree for a couple days and now there is no interest.  They did like watching the angel turn different colors and I guess they do like hiding under the tree.  But other than that, no interest.

Look at the concentration!
