The Past Month

August was a very fun month for us.  We attended many fun activities, including the Touch a Truck night at the Community Center.  Man o man there were a lot of people there.  Jeff thought it was because of the free food, I think it was because of all the trucks in one area for kids to sit in and explore!  We had hot dogs, ice cream, milk and lots and lots of fun.  We saw lots of friends and neighbors as well.  C & O loved it.

Mama you want some?
Chase and Owen sit in the maintainer (that's what we called it in SD, it had a different name here)

Chase drives the big truck and Owen sits nicely.

Out to Dinner
We went out to dinner several nights-something we haven't done with the boys in a very long time.  They are getting much better at sitting, occupying themselves and letting us eat our food.
Owen looks at me with his big brown eyes.
Chase loves his drink

The Pool

We spent a lot of the summer at the pool at our athletic club. We all LOVED it!  The boys grew more and more comfortable and had so much fun exploring.  Neither boy is afraid of the water.  They walk in up to their chins and would keep going if it were not for me.  They love to swim on their tummies, jump in from the side, play with trucks and buckets and look at other kids.  The boys' hair turned very blond this summer with help from all the sun at the pool.

Chase and Owen head into the pool one summer day.
Chase is ready to swim with his bucket. I think this picture doesn't even look like him.

Owen picks up his cars and puts them in his bucket.

Around the House

We spend a lot of time exploring the yard.
Chase poses for Mommy
Owen peeks at Mommy from his play house.
Owen paints with paintbrushes for the first time.  He loved it.  Look at the concentration on his face.
Chase dips his brushes in the paint.  He always wanted more paint.  He loved painting, too.
The boys found our bike helmets in the garage and just had to wear them around the house.  It was so cute! Here Owen looks up at me.
Chase giggles while wearing his helmet.
After playing with paint we must get clean, so I fill the sink with water and the boys play.  It's fun!
We watch Tumble Books on the computer-the boys love watching the same puppy book over and over.
Chase liked to put his foot in a bucket and walk around, it as funny.
Chase is dancing
Owen had to partake in the fun and have buckets on both feet-that was more difficult and uncomfortable.
