Fair Hills Part 2

Tuesday was another fun day.  Jeff woke at 6:30 and headed out to fish.  Hattie woke when Jeff closed the door and came in bed with me.  Shortly after this Chase woke and came to bed too.  A little while later Owen came in and we all cuddled and played and had some fun morning time.  We went to breakfast and Hattie pigged out again.  She loves loves loves French toast!  After this it was the Sand Castle Contest. I love to play in the sand so the 4 kids and I made a big turtle adorned with beautiful rocks.  It was the most “Rocky Castle” award.  Chase, Gavin, Sophie and I went out on a paddle board after this, which was really fun.  It was then pool time and lunch time.  After lunch Lindsay and I took the littles to the baby pool.  Hattie had a great time kicking and climbing in and out.  She would stand on the bottom, put her little foot up on the edge, which she could barely do and try to climb out.  When I didn’t help her (cuz I didn’t know that’s what she wanted) she cried and got mad.  Then the kids had their second tennis lesson and then the big slip and slide on Hole 5.  This was a pretty amazing tarp being sprayed down that adults and kids ran down.  Pat, Chase and Sophie tried it out and had fun, although the water was pretty cold I guess.  We went back and all the kids had a much needed nap.  Boy were the boys tired!  They were so whiny and cried so much they needed a nap since we’ve been staying up until 9 or 9:30 each night.  Chase got asked to be in the Hootenany.  At the time of practice all kids wanted to be in the Hoot, so they all went to practice and had fun.

Jeff even plays!

The Hootenany was a lot of fun! The staff sang and danced and all the kids got to sit in the front. It was a great performance. Hattie had fun playing on the floor and by my chair with whatever she could find. She was very cute and content.

Wednesday was more fun!  Lindsay and I did yoga on the dock which was amazing.  That night the kdis went on a cruise on the Big Pelican.  They were surprised by the big kids who were dressed like pirates and shot at them with water guns.  They came back having had a great time, but were a little cold. They got off the boat on a sandbar in the middle of Pelican Lake. WE didn't know they would be doing that!

Thursday was fishing on the big dock.  Gavin was the only one who got a fish (Sophie may have), but they still were very patient and had fun fishing.  In the afternoon they had Kids in the Kitchen.  All the kids got to go make cookies.  They made 2 huge cookies each and got to decorate them however they wanted. Pretty amazing.

That night we had the talent show. It was hot!  Hattie was sick of sitting.  Some of the talent was very good, some not so much. :)  It was all about fun family times, so overall it was great.

I found the kids floating like this the last day. soooo funny!

On Friday they had a carnival for the kids, which was a bounce house, face painting, games and candy. They loved it.  Lindsay and I did yoga again, this time on the Pelican as it cruised the lake. It was great.  There was beach Day after that adn that night was a slide show of pictures from the week, a DJ'ed Dance, which the kids LOVED.  Its amazing how a little music, a disco ball and lots of kids makes for a fun time.  They all danced and danced, got into the costumes, wore them, played drums, etc. Even Hattie wanted to be out on the dance floor!
