Hattie's First Time Eating

Sunday December 7th was the day Hattie ate her first food, which was squash.  It was a big event and everyone was involved.  We positioned her and Chase and Owen positioned themselves near Jeff and I.  Jeff gave her her first bites and Chase and Owen ooed and aahed, which created quite the distraction for Hattie.  She was much more interested in watching them than she was eating the food.  She did pretty well and was not at all messy.  She seemed to know to swallow rather than push the food out with her tongue like some babies do.
