Just things

I haven't posted anything of substance lately.  I think it's part because after working a long day I just don't have the energy to write when I get home at night.

The boys have really grown up a lot this winter.  I continue to be amazed at their physical growth, as well as their social/emotional, language and cognitive growth. Chase and Owen are both counting to at least 20-skipping 14.  Chase can identify numbers 0-9 and Owen knows 0, 1, and 7 at times.  The say super funny things and use words I had know idea they knew.  They continue to be wonderful, loving, caring, generous and compassionate boys.  This never ceases to amaze me and I know it comes from the Lord.  Chase prays at night for God to heal his owies, Owen tells God about his ceiling, curtains and cars.  They show such love and care for each other that I think must come with being a twin.  My adult twin friends have told me about their lives growing up and how they were just always with each other, always caring for each other, always WANTING to be with each other. They were best of friends and that's how Chase and Owen are.  I pray at night, "Thank you for Chase's good behavior", and Chase says, "And Owen's," like he doesn't want Owen to be left out, and Owen does the same.

I did find out that at daycare they do not always want to play with others, though.  I guess it's gotten better after a lot of encouraging and I wish I had known sooner because I would have addressed it at home.  I've noticed lately they are playing in different areas of the house more often.  I would say it's been this way for the past 6 months or so.

They are into hoarding little items.  I think it drives Jeff and I nutso. If we play puzzles, they must hoard all the pieces and put them in buckets and carry them around for about a week. They do the same with beads for stringing, letters, numbers, shapes, cars, anything they can get their hands on. Before we know it they have a 10 gallon pail of stuff they are dragging around.

That's all for now. :)
