July 4th

We had a great 4^th of July. In the morning Nana and Papa Berger and Chase and Owen’s cousins and aunt and uncle came over to celebrate their birthday. We had coffee cake, played and opened gifts. The night before on the 3^rd we met some friends at the Chanhassen kiddie bike parade. That was fun too. We went to the carnival after and rode rides. We had our annual bike parade in the neighborhood as well as a picnic. The rest of the day was quiet. We stayed home and lit off fireworks in the driveway when it started to get dark. The boys loved it and Hattie thought it was fun too.

Owen and Chase had a Pokemon themed birthday since that is what they are really into at the moment. Back in January they wanted a Skylander birthday. Things do change! The day of the party it rained, of course, just like last year. That was a bit of a bummer since we had 15 kids coming. We played games and ran around in the basement. It was fun for the boys and all the kids had a blast. We opened gifts, then had cake and then luckily the rain had stopped for a bit. The kids played sky ball in the front yard and got some energy out. Chase and Owen had so much fun with their neighborhood, school and church friends.

The day of the party it decided to rain. The boys put up these decorations and they got damp and fell. Here they are 15 minutes before the party waiting for their friends. So cute!
