On Sunday the 3rd I took Chase to the Dr. Owen had had pneumonia the week prior and I thought Chase might have it. He sure did. He seemed better Monday so I sent him to school, only to get a call from the nurse that he was coughing a lot. When he got to daycare after school (at 12:30) he had a 101 fever. I went home to get him. He and I stayed home until Thursday, when I sent him to school again, only to get a call that he was coughing to much he almost threw up. I took him back to the Dr. and the pneumonia wasn't better. He was put on a different medication and the next day was finally doing better! During this time I had the flu-aches, chills, headaches, and a cough. Not much fun at all. On Wednesday the kids were all home with me because I had scheduled dentist appointments for them. It was a very long week. Hattie wasn't taking the bottle at daycare. In fact, on Monday or Tuesday she had only 1 oz the entire day. That night when we got home she was sleeping in her carseat. I heated up a bottle and stuck it in her mouth. Sure enough, she took it! She was so tired (and hungry) that she didn't really know it was a bottle! Success! Her not eating stressed me out and made nights long because she wanted to nurse a lot and typically 2 times in the night. Finally on Friday she took 3 bottles at daycare! It was a miracle. On Saturday Jeff was even able to get her to take a bottle! Another miracle.

This is the back door of our house. This is where Chase fell asleep when we got home from church last week. Poor guy.
Hattie is now grabbing things very willfully. I hold up a toy she likes (kitty tail book, ball, hippo) and she closes in on it with both hands. Once she grabbs something it goes right to her mouth!
She sat up last week by herself, but then slowly fell forward between her own legs. :)
She went in the Johnny Jump Up and Exersaucer last week! She liked them both.
She LOVES to talk talk talk, mostly making high pitched squeels and gurgles for as long as 20 minutes. :)
