Christmas with the Bergers

Before Jeff's parents left for Florida, we had Christmas and Thanksgiving on November 1st.  It was a really fun celebration of a full Thanksgiving meal along with gifts!  The kids loved it and couldn't believe we got to have Christmas gifts early.  It was sad to see Jim and Sandy leave, but was a fun way to celebrate.

Chase and Owen's School Christmas Concert

Chase and Owen had their Kindergarten/First Grade Christmas Concert last week.  They were sooooo excited and nervous.  On the way there they just couldn't wait and on the way home they were exhausted.   They sang their hearts out and did great actions.

Bathing Beauty

Hattie loves bath time. She is always trying to get in the tub before her clothes are off.  Once in the tub it's hard to get her out.  She would really stay in there forever!  She does not like to be wrapped in a towel and cries and cries.  So, she's quickly dried and then she runs away from us shivering. :)

Field Trip to Gale Hills Farm

I was fortunate to be selected to go on Chase and Owen's field trip to Gale Hills Farm.  It was late October, but already cold.  I drove to school and Chase and Owen were so excited to see me!  We had a blast on the bus.  The farmer allowed the kids to go into the field with 2 cows and a bunch of sheep.  The kids ran all over chasing the sheep.  The cows were eating round bales with some sheep and I thought it was weird she told the kids they could be in there with the cows.  I watched as Chase went up to the sheep and cow and almost got kicked in the head by the cow. I figured they were tame. I asked the farmer and she was alarmed, saying the cows usually ran away. Oops.

Hattie Blows on Hot Corn

From very early on Hattie has understood "hot" and has always said it after me by blowing.  She knows hot coffee and hot things boiling. She loves the hot coffee though!  Not that she gets to touch it, but she always wants to.  I think she likes the handle on the cup.  So here she is blowing on the hot corn and then touches it to realize it's hot (warm actually).
