Hattie is 1

Our Sweet little Hattie turned 1 on June 20th!  She is so wonderful and life is so much better with her in it!  The boys and I made her pancakes and sang to her.  My parents arrived that night and we opened some gifts.  She got new clothes and a bike helmet from us, along with a house toy.  She loved the attention.

It was extremely difficult to get a picture of Hattie with her 12 month sticker on!  This was the first picture we took and it's not bad.  She wanted the sticker off and wanted to crawl away.  This girl is a mover!

Alexandra Visits

Alexandra visited us a couple weeks ago.  She is a girl I nannied for in Chicago back in 1997 when she was just 6 years old.  Her family is very dear to me and I love them like family.  It was amazing to have her here to meet my children.  They adored her and we had a great time out at dinner that night.

So Big

When Jeff was in Europe we had a lot of time together!  Hattie learned "So Big" and the boys enthusiastically encouraged her.  So fun.

Last Day of Kinder Academy

Yesterday was Chase and Owen’s last day of Kinder Academy and part of me is so happy and part of me is sad. They have had such a great experience and have learned so much that it’s sad for them to move on. It also means they are getting older. They have loved their teachers, classmates and everything about school. I feel comfortable with it and so do they. Either way, they have accomplished so much, in learning to hold their pencil correctly, form letters, write words, read words, do addition, introduce themselves to others, and make new friends. We will miss the Kindergarten Center and all the happy memories.

Big Smiles, Big Girl

Hattie is all smiles lately.  Big, teethy, drooly, cheeky happy smiles.  I love it!

Hattie loves to drink out of cans. I think it's because the can is so cold. She also loves to stick her finger in the opening, which is not so great.

Hattie and Kinley

Hattie and Kinley got together over Memorial Day weekend.  We were invited to a party at my friend Kelly's house and had a great time!  The kids played in the sun, had water fights, jumped in the bounce house and the women and men talked and laughed.  It was super fun!

So Big!

Hattie learns to do "So Big!"  She's so stinkin cute! The boys were hamming it up along with me.  It was a fun and special night.  Too bad Jeff was not there (he was in Europe) to see it.

First time on the lake

Friday night we packed up the kids after work, grabbed some food and headed out to the lake for our first boat ride of the season. It was a hot day finally and with rain in the forecast we had to take advantage of the weather. The boys were so excited. It was such a fun time! The boys were wild with excitement and wanted to go to the beach and swim. We took them there not expecting them to get I. But they did and they loved it. They ran up and down the beach and figured out how to float with life jackets on.  Hattie had a great time too!
