Owen's Date with Mommy and Daddy

Owen had a date to the park with Mommy and Daddy. It didn't start out as an intentional date, it was just a walk to the park because Chase was sleeping (*Nana was at home with Chase-I thought about writing this the first time, but didn't, but after all the comments I got I thought I better make it known that Chase was not at home alone.), but it was so fun! It was fun for Jeff and I to be one on one with one of our sons. Jeff even said, "Boy, this is what it's like with one kid!"

Owen tried out the new ducky at the new park in our neighborhood.

Mommy helped Owen dig.

Daddy climbed wtih Owen.

Owen and Daddy start to go down the slide.

Are you ready?

Oh boy, that was a fun and fast ride!

Owen gets to sit in the big Bob Cat, which he thought was pretty cool.

Look at my big boy.

Owen loves bugs and he and Jeff were looking at a grasshopper.

He had to get down and look very closely at the bug.

We saw the most amazing caterpillar.  It had a spike at the back, which you can see in the picture and on the shaddow.  There was more orange on this caterpillar and it was just huge.  The picture doesn't show the size.

Owen stares at the caterpillar near the grass.

Of course Jeff had to poke it and then was "scared" so he held Owen's hand just in case the caterpillar jumped at them or something.  :)

Owen runs home! His little run is so cute-his legs splay out to the side.

We got sidetracked in an open lot and found more grasshoppers to look at.
Owen shows me a bug on his finger.  What a fun date with Mommy and Daddy!

My Handsome Boys

Chase and Owen got new sweaters from my Aunt Jill.  She always gives the boys the cutest clothes.  Here they are showing off their sweaters (actually, just Chase) and smiles before church.  They even had their hair combed!
Nana Sandy has been staying with us for a couple weeks before she and Papa Jim leave for FL.  Papa Jim is back, too, after spending some time "Up North" at his cabin for the big hunt.  It's been fun for all of us to have house guests and Chase and Owen love having Nana and Papa around.

Bits and Pieces

Chase and Owen like to crawl on the counters and call themselves "Babies".

Mommy had fun putting ponytails in Chase's hair.  He wanted more and more and more.

Owen and Chase had fun playing with Daddy

Do you watch "Glee?"  I think Owen kinda looks like the new blond kid on the show.

Chase decorated his face with Mommy's eye shaddow-isn't he cute?!

Chase loves a big nose wrinkled smile.

Watching puppy videos with Nana is extra fun!

Owen loves to watch the puppies and laughs sooooo hard!

Going Batty

We had a great time Trick-or-Treating last night!  What a batacular adventure!  Chase and Owen were bats (for the 2nd year in a row due to Mommy's love of the bat costumes and the fact they still fit)

We trick-or-treated to many of the houses in our development. Chase and Owen loved walking up to the door and knocking on it.  After awhile they understood that they were going to pick some candy.  At first they were very good about picking just one candy, but after some neighbors encouraged taking multiple pieces they began to get a little greedy.  At our friends house Chase snuck a piece really quickly and it was pretty funny.  When we got home I was carrying our candy bowl to the door to greet some kids when Owen whizzed by, snatched a couple things out of the bowl and took off again!

Chase started to say "Trick-or-Treat" by the end of the night. We had fun running down the street yelling "more, more, more" candy.  Chase and Owen's little hands were pretty cold by the end, but they didn't seem to care, they had a great time and wanted to hold their own pumpkin buckets the whole time. They ate plenty of candy while out on the road.  Owen had to open all of his suckers and take one lick.  Then he threw it back in his bucket.  Chase loved the candy bars.

When we got home they spread out their candy with Daddy and looked at it all.  They ate a little more and then we had to get ready for bed.  This morning they were looking at it again, lining it up and wanting more.  Nana told them to put the "clothes, blankets" (wrappers) back on the suckers because the suckers were cold.  That was a great move Nana! They kept their suckers and candy nice and warm and didn't want to take it out of the wrapper.
Chase gets used to his batty hat.

Chase is posing by the pumpkins in his bat costume-check out the cheesy smile!

Heading out to Trick-or-Treat!

Nana Sandy was over to help out.

Owen looking batty.

This house was our first house-look at Owen peeking in the window!

Oooohhh, candy!

The boys were holding hands as they walked down the sidewalk, it was so adorable.  Owen's on the right, Chase is smiling at him.

Both boys are eating candy-their mouths are plum full.

Here they are showing me their wings.

Chase and Owen really love each other and enjoy being with each other.

Owen looks at Chase as they talk.

All smiles as we head out to get more candy.

We met up with the neighbor friends-these are the kids we usually play with.

The boys giggle as I tickle them.

Mommy and her boys had tons of fun on Halloween!  I'm so lucky to have two sweet little boys.
