Love for Oliver the Elf

Oliver made his visit to our house again this year and boy do we love him!  Here are a few of his poses.

Chase and Owen made the pipecleaner art for him and wrote him sweet sweet notes that made me cry.

Chase and Owen's School Concert

Chase and Owen had their school Christmas concert in mid December and looked so cute. They were very excited and "nervous".  As we drove to school they couldn't stop talking about how nervous they were. On the way home they fell asleep! :)  It's lots of work being little.  They performed very well, did all the actions and sang their little hearts out. Jeff and I were very proud.

Hattie's First Time Sledding!

Over Christmas Break we were able to sled, which was so fun!  We had several inches of snow and the kids were just dying to get outside and release some energy.  Hattie couldn't wait to get outside, too!  She didn't really want to walk in the snow but enjoyed riding on her sled.

Christmas Day

What a wonderful Christmas we had! As I sit here Christmas Eve in the glow of the tree I reflect upon the day. We got up at 6:00 on the dot when Owen came in the room at the time we said he could give up.  Owen was waiting for 6:00 so he went and woke up Chase!  Hattie was hollering too. We opened gifts pretty quickly. Hattie didn't care much she just wanted to walk around among the packages looking and playing. The boys were a different story. They could hardly contain themselves it was so cute. By the time I got down stairs they had torn thorough their stockings and had organized the loot. They were making piles of presents and I had to slow them down. It was precious. We opened our lovely gifts and got a great range of gifts. Boys got a lot of Skylanders, Pokemon cards, games, drew lights, books, crafts, rockets, ornaments, transformer things. Hattie got a cute leap frog puppy, music machine, books, purse, cars, baby doll, bottles, ball pit, puzzle with latches etc. Jeff and I had a lot to do to get ready for dinner so we were busy all day. Chad and Owen were so excited and happy they played perfectly all day. They didn't ask to watch tv, didn't wine, etc and they played all over the house with all of their toys. Around 3:15 my cousin Philip was stopping by. Chase was tired and was laying on the floor by the kitchen table but on the carpet. Suddenly we looked over and he was asleep! He slept through the Phil's visit! He woke up to find a present in front of his face. Hattie didn't have great naps making her a little clingy. She did love to play with her new toys though. When pat and Lindsay got here she flipped a switch and was so happy and excited and smiley! She was so funny looking at everyone smiling. When she opened her gifts, she wanted to put them on over her dress. So she's wearing a shirt over her dress then wanted to put on her sleep sack over it all. She just had to do it and smiled all the way. She loved Aunty Lindsay helping her open her gift. When she got Philip’s gift she was sitting in her high chair having a snack. Then she saw what it was (cars)and she did her excited face, putting her lower lip down and shaking a bit. Soooo funny! She ran around and soooo wanted to do what all the big kids were doing. It was hard for her to not go upstairs and down with the kids. She had fun playing with Sophie and getting pushed around in her stroller. We were all tired after fondue and Hattie was tired. She was excited to put on her sleep sack and pretty much was out. The boys were so wound up they would t stop talking. I finally had to just say goodnight and leave! Then we heard them upstairs running between rooms playing with toys. I remember that too! I feel so thankful for the greatest gift of my family.

Later that day Chase was having a little bit of a whiny moment.  He was laying on the floor and fell right asleep in this position hugging his new animal.  So cute!
